Comet Holmes

Late last fall, Comet Holmes gave a surprise show becoming visible with the naked eye. Due to the view angle of the comment, it appeared as a blob as opposed to a nucleus with a tail. I tried to capture the comet with a newly purchased camera. Taken November 2007. The comet is the blob left of center.

The next image is a corp of the same picture above. Sorry about the blurring on the background stars. I didn't have a bulb to start the exposure, so the initial tail on the star is due to me starting the exposure manually. The elongation of the star is due to the long exposure and the star actually moving.

Rod, this is your favorite niece, just found your blog.

First of all, I am so impressed that Marilyn likes Bon Jovi! How cool is that?

You are such a cute Dad taking the kids snowboarding!

It's fun to see all your hobbies and that you still have it in the sporting arena! :)
